ForemanOps Book a 15-minute call (opens in a new tab)

The jobs you lose are the ones you never hear about.

A customer calls on a busy afternoon. Nobody's free to pick up. They hang up, call the next company on the list, and you never find out it happened. ForemanOps answers those calls, works out what the customer needs, and gets them booked on your calendar.

If we don't recover at least one job in your first 30 days, that month is free. See the terms.

The problem

You probably don't know how many you're missing.

Every HVAC owner has a rough sense that some calls slip. Almost nobody has the number. That's what makes this so easy to live with — a lost job leaves no trace. There's no voicemail, no callback, no angry customer. It just quietly goes somewhere else.

So we start by measuring. Before anything changes on your phones, we record two weeks of what's actually happening: how many calls come in, how many get answered, how many don't. That gives you a real before-number — and it's the only way to prove afterwards that anything improved.

What happens instead

When the call comes in

It runs on your existing business number. Nothing about how you take calls today has to change.

  1. A customer calls and nobody's free Same as today — you're on a roof, under a house, or driving.
  2. ForemanOps picks up instead of voicemail The caller gets a real conversation, not a beep.
  3. It finds out what they need Name, address, the problem, and how urgent it is.
  4. It books them into your calendar Real availability, and the customer gets a confirmation.
  5. You get told A notification with the job details, ready for dispatch.
  6. Emergencies skip all of that No heat in January goes straight to a human. You decide in advance what counts.

What you get

Jobs on the calendar, not messages in a voicemail box

Calls answered when you can't

Evenings, weekends, and the middle of a heat wave when every line is busy.

Appointments, not messages

The point isn't taking down a name. It's getting the job on the schedule while the customer is still deciding.

Emergencies still reach a person

Urgent calls escalate to a human immediately, on rules you set before go-live.

A number every month

How many jobs were recovered, measured against the baseline we recorded before switching on.

Your number, your account, your data

Everything runs under your own business phone account. If you leave, it stays yours.

Nobody gets spammed

We only reply to people who contacted you first. Anyone who replies STOP is removed immediately and permanently.

How it works

Three steps, and the first one is just counting

  1. We measure

Two weeks of your real call data before anything changes. Without a before-number there's no way to prove a result, so this isn't optional.

  2. We switch it on

Set up on your existing business number, with your services, your hours, and your rules for what counts as an emergency.

  3. You get the number

Every month: calls, conversations, appointments booked, and jobs recovered against your baseline. One page.

The guarantee

No recovered job in 30 days, that month is free.

You shouldn't have to take our word for whether this works. So the first month carries the risk, not you.

What counts as a recovered job
An appointment booked from an inbound call that would otherwise have gone unanswered, measured against the baseline recorded during your two-week measurement period.
How it's measured
From your own call records and booked appointments. You see the same data we do.
How to claim it
Nothing to submit. If the first 30 days after go-live produce no recovered job, we tell you and that month's fee is waived or refunded.
What it doesn't cover
Third-party costs billed to you directly by your phone provider. The guarantee applies to the ForemanOps fee only, for the first 30 days after go-live.
Term
Month to month. No long contract, cancel any time.

Questions

The things owners usually ask

Is this just an answering service?

An answering service takes a message and passes it on — you still have to call the customer back, and by then they may have booked elsewhere. This books the appointment during the first conversation, and reports monthly on what it recovered.

Do I have to change my phone system?

No. It runs on your existing business number. Your team keeps answering calls exactly the way they do now — this only handles what would otherwise have gone to voicemail.

What happens with emergency calls?

They go straight to a human. You define what counts as an emergency in writing before go-live, and when there's any doubt the call escalates rather than continuing automatically.

Will my customers get texts they didn't ask for?

No. Messages only go to people who contacted your business first, and anyone who replies STOP is removed immediately and permanently. Texting runs under your own registered business number, so your business identity is on every message.

Who owns the phone number and the customer data?

You do. The account is in your business's name and we operate inside it. If you stop working with us, the number, the history and the customer records stay with you.

What does it cost?

It depends on your call volume, so it's a short conversation rather than a number on a page. It's month to month with no long contract, and the first 30 days are covered by the guarantee above.

How long before it's running?

The two-week measurement period is the longest part. Setup itself is short, though how quickly you can go live depends on whether your business number is already registered to send text messages — we check that on the first call.

Why only HVAC?

Because doing one trade properly beats doing six badly. We work with residential HVAC companies in the Portland metro, so the setup, the questions the system asks, and the emergency rules are built around how HVAC actually works.
